Building a Private-Label Air Fryer Line: A Playbook

The air fryer is the single best private-label entry in small appliances: proven demand, simple bill of materials, and huge room for branding.

Start ODM, not OEM. A mature 5.5L digital platform with 8 presets is already tooled; your differentiation is colorway, logo, packaging and the preset menu language — weeks, not months.

Certification is the gate. Target CB/CE for Europe and ETL/UL for North America, plus RoHS. Budget the testing into the first order, not the second.

Packaging is where private label lives or dies for e-commerce. Invest in a clean box, a clear window, and a multilingual manual; it is the first thing the customer sees and the easiest place to look premium.

MOQs on a standard platform start around 500–1000 units — low enough to test a listing, high enough to lock a sensible per-unit cost. Reorder based on sell-through, not on a forecast.
